Meet The Blue Ox Boys, a Rocky Mountain Bluegrass Band

During the chilly winter nights of 2022, a group of musicians at a Vail, Colorado open mic found a musical connection that would transform their lives in the world of bluegrass.

Just a few months later, they emerged from the winter as a united band and were thrilled to receive their first official gig at the SpringFree Bluegrass Festival. There, they had the chance to perform alongside bluegrass legends such as the Infamous Stringdusters, Sierra Hull, John Stickley, and Sam Bush. This unforgettable experience ignited their passion for playing live music, driving them to play numerous shows in their community and across Colorado.

The Blue Ox Boys, a bluegrass band based in Vail, Colorado, features Kris Ochs (guitar, vocals), Nick Puglisi (banjo, vocals), Glenn Reynolds (bass), and Scott Loss (fiddle).

This energetic four-piece bluegrass band showcases a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, with a rich repertoire of covers and original music inspired by life in the Rocky Mountains. Their performances are guaranteed to get your feet stomping and bring a smile to your face.
